Poker Hand Rankings
Royal Flush
The highest possible ranked hand. Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten all of the same suit (eg Clubs).
Straight Flush
Nine, Ten, Jack, Queen, King (the highest straight flush) down to Ace, Two, Three, Four, Five (the lowest straight flush) all of the same suit.
Four Of A Kind
Any four cards of the same value, from Ace, Ace, Ace, Ace (plus A.N.Other to make your 5-card hand) (the highest four-of-a-kind) down to Two, Two, Two, Two (the lowest four-of-a-kind). Sometimes known as 'Poker Aces' or 'Poker Twos'.
Full House
Any three cards of the same value plus any two cards of the same value (in effect any 3-of-a-kind plus one pair), from Ace, Ace, Ace, King, King (the highest full house) to Two, Two, Two, Three, Three (the lowest full house).
Flush
Any five cards of the same suit, from Ace, King, Queen Jack, Nine (the highest flush) down to Seven, Five, Four, Three, Two (the lowest flush).
Straight
Any five 'decending' cards NOT all of the same suit, from Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten (the highest straight) down to Five, Four, Three, Two, Ace (the lowest straight).
Three Of A Kind
Any three cards of the same value, from Ace, Ace, Ace (with two other cards but NOT of the same value as this would make a full-house) (the highest 3-of-a-kind) down to Two, Two, Two (the lowest 3-of-a-kind).
Two Pair
Two sets of pairs - any two cards of the same value from Ace, Ace, King, King (with any other card but not of the same value to make your 5-card hand) (the highest two pair) down to Three, Three, Two, Two (the lowest two pair).
One Pair
Any two cards of the same value form Ace, Ace, (with any three other cards not of the same value to make your 5-card hand) down to Two, Two (the lowest pair).
High Card
Five cards NOT of the same suit nor with any of the same value, from Ace, King Queen, Jack, Nine (the highest high card hand) down to Seven, Five, Four, Three, Two (the lowest high card hand).
