The LPPL have teamed up with Occasional Entertainment to provide their venues with the opportunity to host an authentic Casino Night and/or a Charity Poker Tournament

Occasional Entertainment Casino Nights and Poker Tournaments are designed to provide a great opportunity for venues and social clubs to advertise and promote their business, whilst raising funds for worthy causes.

In addition, their entertainment is great for company events such as Christmas Dances and team bonding sessions. The have also provided entertainment at School Proms - with no gaming involved!

All of the equipment is first class - full size roulette, black jack tables, and of course poker tables. The dealers and croupiers are fully professional.

If you think you know of any venue, social club, company or school who could benefit from an Occasional Entertainment package then why not let them know!? You yourself could participate in the event, win a great prize and at the same time raise money for a worthy cause

Foul and abusive language is not tolerated on the forum - whether said in jest, emphasis of a point, frustration, or towards someone specifically.

Following on the back of the Southern League's triumph at Interleague 5, we are delighted to announce details of InterLeague 6.

The 6th LPPL Interleague will be held at the Labour Club, Portsmouth and the tournament will start at 1pm on Saturday November 13th. We will be looking to arrange a meetup/game in the locality on the Friday evening also, as well as holding an event on the Sunday at the Labour Club to make it a weekends festival of poker centering around the tremendous tournament that is the InterLeague Challenge.

The LPPL is in the process of offering Team Captaincies to an LPPL member of each league, who will put together a representative team based on the qualification criteria - full details of which will be displayed on the Player Portal.

We hope that all leagues will take part in what will be, we are sure, another memorable InterLeague tournament and show support to the Southern league as they have admirably done in past events.

The July Ladbrokes Mini League will start on July 1 on Ladbrokes Poker.

Games will be played TWICE daily, at 17:30 and 23:00 every day, and will be just $3 + .30 to enter.

As always, all buy ins will be retained to create the overall cash pot, and the top 10 of the leaderboard will play a Grand Final Table, after all the daily games have been played, where the cash will be paid out wholly to the top 3 places minimum - potentially more, depending on the amount in the cash pot!!!

Grand Final will be played on Saturday August 7th at 20:30pm (please note new time for Final)

Your top 8 scores will count to the leaderboard, and as usual there will be a prize for the overall Leaderboard winner - this will be announced in due course.

The restricted forum thread for eligible players who have qualified for MicroLeague 2, which starts on Sunday June 27, 2010, is now available for players to view and gain tournament information and details.

The thread (called MicroLeague2) can be found in the LPPL ONLINE section of the Player Portal (forum). If you cannot see this thread, it means you are not eligible!

Eligible players are the top 16 players in the Area Finals of the Feb/March 2010 League2.

There is a public list of eligible players in the Ladbrokes Poker section of the forum for information only - but tournament information can ONLY be found in the MicroLeague 2 section.

An email has been sent out to all eligible players for whom we hold a live email address.

Remember places can ONLY be transferred if the prize winner emails their request to : operations@livepubpokerleague.com stating their name, LPPL number and whom they wish their prize to be transferred to. This will then be actioned and the list updated.

We will be releasing the list of eligible players who will be taking part in MicroLeague 2, the competition for those players who placed 1st - 16th in recent Feb/Mar League Area Finals.

The tournament format will remain the same - a game will be played every Sunday morning starting at 10:00am and the weekly winner will progress through to the end of tournament Grand Final, where all 8 weekly winners will meet up in 10 player Sit n Go tournament, with the prize on offer being a place for TWO in the forthcoming 2010 UK & Ireland Poker League Championships - more details about this prize will be released in due course.

MicroLeague 2 will NOT be a freeroll - there will be a weekly buy in of $3 + .30 but all buyins will be paid out on a weekly basis to the top percentage of players - so there will be cash to play for as well as the Grand Final place EVERY week.

As usual, there will be a restricted forum thread open only to those players who are eligible to play where they can pick up the tournament password(s) and discuss the MicroLeague game(s).

Please also remember that by playing these games you are also setting yourself well on the way to qualifying for the Ladbrokes/LPPL $500 monthly freerolls, which do have a player point requirement.

The first game of the MicroLeague will be played on Sunday June 27 and every Sunday thereafter - 8 weeks in total.

The LPPL has carried out its review (delayed slightly due to the lateness of a few Leaderboards being incomplete because of outstanding results) of all numbers of Qualifiers for Area Finals and the following changes have been made for the June/July league qualification quotas :

East Scotland - No Change

Humber - Reduced to 56 from 64

Lincolnshire - No Change

Midlands - Reduced to 48 from 56

North East - No Change (Possible Reduction to 64 wef August 1 if trends stay the same)

Western - Reduced from 72 to 64

Southern - Reduced from 64 to 56

West Scotland - No Change (Possible Increase to 64 wef August 1 if trends stay the same)

North West - No Change

South Yorkshire - No Change

West Yorkshire - Increased from 64 to 72

The Leaderboards will be altered to reflect these changes imminently

There will be another online "Last Chance" Qualifier for players who havent made their Area Final to secure their place.

Being held on Ladbrokes Poker, on Sunday 13th June at 10:30am, a $2 rebuy event will be played, where the winner of the tournament will be automatically entered into their own league Area Final, without the need to miss out, or hope you qualify as a Reserve.

To enter the tournament, you need to have scored a MINIMUM of 2,500 points on your Area Leaderboard in the Apr/May league. We will check eligibility of the winner to ensure they comply with this requirement.

The password of the tournament can be found in the Ladbrokes Poker section of the website/Player Portal

To register for the event, please log into Ladbrokes Poker, go to "Tournaments" and then select the Affiliates/Partner section - here you will see all LPPL tournaments listed and there is one called "LPPL Area Final Last Chance" - click that and you can register.

All proceeds of the tournament will be retained and be put into LPPL Area Final prizes.
